I want to take a year off.. I got annoyed when one of my teachers said "once you take time off, you never go back!" ..Eurgh.

What your teacher said isn't true. In fact, a lot of people take a year off and then feel more inclined to go to school because they've experienced life without school for a while.

That's what I want to do, and my mom always says "Screw the teachers, they don't know what they're talking about!" Funny.

A year off can be awesome for some people...I'd probably have the worst time of my life. Ha. I'm shy and am actually really looking forward to Uni/college.

that's not true. Pablo took a year off after school and now he's in 4th med year *nods*.
When i was in 8th grade, i just wanted to drop high school cause... i didn't care about it lol but i continued it anyway and then when i graduated i had the best PSU scores on my class so my headteacher was like "why dont you choose something difficult? im sure you can do it, and then you wont get bored". so i pick medicine as my career. and im still in that, and well yesh, its a good boredom killer *nods*

Medicine as a good boredom killer...well it is medicine! Yeah, I have like 6 family members in medicine....but I can't understand a word say when they talk about it though, and I can't stand the sight of blood or internal organs, so...I don't think I'll go in medicine. I get squeamish when I watch CSI, for God's sake. *eyeroll*
But my Dad's in the car audio, and my Aunt has traveled a lot. I ask her a lot about school and traveling, cause she's traveled the world about 3 times, and she has degrees from 4 different universities. She has to get her masters yet, but i don't think she has time for that with her 2 kids, job, and countlesss kid cousins. Not to mention she's only 30.
