on someones bulleting on myspace (yes i have myspace because i can keep in touch with all my friends. other than that i hate it.) anyway the subject was "mcr rocks not green day" and it said:

NO. That's NOT true. I know that for a fact because Green Day started out by making music just for themselves. They did it for THEM. They really didn't give a flying fuck what other people thought about them; they just stuck it out there. And there's that one quote one of the guys said: "If people don't like it, too bad, but if they do, cool." (I'm not sure I got it right, but what they basically meant was that they really didn't give a shit who liked it or not.)

And for MCR fans: MCR are who they are partly because of Green Day. Gerard Way even said that Green Day were the ones that cheered them on and encouraged them to do what they wanted. SO MCR OWES A LOT TO GREEN DAY! (Sorry, that girl pissed me off....)
