I bought a Green Day shirt today! Yup, I went to Hot Topic. With my mommy. This would be what happened.
We open our scene on a mother and daughter in the middle of Hot Topic. The mother is creeped out simply by being in the store.
Me, *picking up a Green Day shirt with the heart-shaped grenade on it*
Mom: Nice. Buy a shirt with a great big grenade on it, Miss Anti-War.
Me: It IS anti-war. It's "holding on my heart like a hand grenade". It's...nevermind, it's too hard to explain.
Mom: Well, no one knows that but you. Everyone else will just see it as violent.
Me: Everyone else would be wrong.
Mom: Whatever. Why do you need a Green Day shirt anyway?
Me: Ummm...cause they're awesome?
Mom: Oh god, is that your band with the little elf guy? (Billie Joe)
Me, smacking self in forehead: Mom, nevermind. Let's go.
Mother and daughter leave. End scene.
