I think some of my friends might've learned that.. I dunno if it's the same, my choir/bells teacher called it the "lindy".. it was like "step sort-of-hop step back, front".. sort of.

Well, the Lindy Hop (often called the Jitterbug), was the first form of swing dancing, so it changed slightly in different places, leading to West Coast Swing and other dance styles...
so it probably was some form of swing dancing, whatever they were doing
