The Grammys are on tonight.....check your local listings.
Green Day is nominated for Record of the Year.
Watch tonight and hope they win, and even if they don't, we know they're the best.

They'd better, but I'm kind of doubting it. Their success this year doesn't mirror their noms at ALL.

Stupid Grammys. I'm hoping against hope, you know, but the music people suck. All they want is a pretty face. (Which they have in Green Day, goddammit! Give the kids some fucking Grammys!)

And yes, I know Green Day has more than a pretty face. Pretty faceS. It's just...that's all the "biz" seems to want. Grrrr.

^ I disagree with that as far as the Grammys go- every other awards and such, I absolutely agree. The thing with the Grammys is they kind of neglect rock for the most part. The big winners are usually R&B or Soul.

Probably because (this may sound bad, but I don't mean it to be) rock is less...difficult than the others? Actual instrumentation-wise. Though it is NOT easy to write a great rock song, let me tell you.
But meh.
