Gah! I went out with my aunt today to go see a movie, and it was starting in like a half-hour. I took her into Hot Topic to just look around, and I came to this shelf FILLED with Green Day shirts. She followed me and as I looked through them, she's like, "So Green Day's your favorite band?"

Me: YES!

Aunt Lisa: Have you ever been to one of their concerts?

Me: No, but I want to go to one! REALLY badly!

Aunt Lisa: Hmm....

Is it just me, or was that a thinking sound she just made? My aunt takes me everywhere. She takes me to mueseums, she takes me rafting...she takes me everywhere. Could it be possible....?

*wonders if she should brag about her fabulous time at a Green Day concert* *decides yes* Well, I went to the Green Day concert in San Francisco in September and I was in the mosh pit (hoot hoot). They did all of their usual stuff, but because they were back at home (the Bay Area) they had SO MUCH energy and added a few fun things:

Tre sang "All By Myself" but changed the lines in the beginning to you "I was alone / I was all by myself / I had an erection" and when he said he had an erection, he put the microphone between his legs and started rubbing himself energetically with it which got lots of laughs and screams (I think that's different)

Someone threw their sweatshirt on stage and it was for John Swett Highschool (I think), so Billie looked at it and said, "Oh shit! That was one of the highschools I went to. I didn't graduate from any of them . . . AND LOOK AT ME NOW MOM!"

During "Shout," he switched to "Stand By Me" and then went back to "Shout" (I think that's different)

Billie sniffed the air at some point and said, "I think I smell some of that Northern California marijuana over here" to lots and lots of cheers (hmm...makes me wonder how many Green Day fans aren't potheads....)

When Tre was teaching the drummer from the audience his part, he kept on slapping him upside the head...and when they finally performed, all three people got really into it, and so the drummer took a drum solo and Tre hit him again.

The guitarist brought up was from Peru, and when Billie found out, he was like "Oh really?" and started talking to the guy, then looked at us, said "Excuse me," covered the mic and talked to the guy for around a minute (and the fucking lucky peruvian guitarist got an energetic kiss...lucky bastard)

After the audience members played, Billie said, "That was the best fucking band I've ever pulled up here!" (*wonders if he says this at every concert*)

Billie named most of the places where they used to play and asked us all if we had ever heard of them/been there.

Billie "fell over" but then broke into the coffee grinder and some other break dance moves

Best of all: After his masturbation sequence, he reached down and grabbed my hand for like 5 seconds! (go me!)

he did most of that at mine too...i drove all the way to fresno...because my dads friend got me suite tickets. otherwise i woulda gone to the san francisco one

I went to the first and last concert they had in Chile, on November 3rd 1998. I was... 12 back then. It was just awesome.

I also went to the concert they had on Lyon, France on 06/30 of last year... it was cool too. I love Green Day
