well, it is permanent, but your eyesight changes as you get older, so if you get it when you're younger, then you will still need reading glasses

I'm legally blind without my contacts, so yay. I will probably get the surgery at some point, if I have the money.

I have relatively good vision comparatively, but I still desperately need something to correct my vision

it's too freaky to get the surgery. i'm blind but i'm such a chicken....i just can't handle a blade being so close to my eye.

that's why it's called laser eye surgery, though....they use a laser to make the incisions, rather than a blade
