that's about all I read...depressing things...give me drugs, alcohol, suicidality, self-harm, or just harm in and of itself, and that's my type of book

Well, I do like suicidality, self-harm, and just harm books...but also other depressing things just not drugs and alcohol center.

I wouldn't suggest A Million Little Pieces then...which is an amazing book, even if it's not all real *shrugs*
but, I mean, it's about a drug addict in rehab....you can't get much more of a drug/alcohol-based story than that

What are Pretties and Uglies about? I thought of you today, Abby! I saw the book The Outsiders on the floor of the hall. I was like, "Isn't that the book Abby was reading?"

What are Pretties and Uglies about? I thought of you today, Abby! I saw the book The Outsiders on the floor of the hall. I was like, "Isn't that the book Abby was reading?" hehe. yay!! I finished it. my friend told me when she finished it she was bawling her eyes out.. I would've been, but I think I was in class... bleh. I could've used a good cry. and.. uglies is about how, in this futuristic city [with hoverboards and talking walls], you get an operation when you turn 16 that turns you into "pretty". and it turns out that the operation actually messes with your brain, and... its really good. I definitely definitely definitely reccommend it. =]

Okay, since you so highly recommend it, I shall see if our library has it.
