Yeah. "Proud guys". The type that go "Aw, no, I don't want to hang around with that fag; he might eye me up or something." And I can't help but think, "Please, don't flatter yourself."
Cory. Perfect example. He's Andrea's friend and is so mean to Dom cuz he's a homophobe. I mean, I've hung out with him before, he's pretty cool, but he just needs to get over this act of his, where he thinks he's too much of a man to hang out with Dominic.
I've heard all these things from Jeannette where she says she overhears all these people who don't even KNOW Dom talking about him in a really rude way. And even though I've never heard them myself, I just wanna go over there and slap some of them.
Someone's sexuality preferences really don't mean anything. Dom's awesome, as I've told you all about him, and it's really unfair that people would treat him like that just because he's gay. It makes me really sick, the physiological outlook of everyone in America, where if someone favors the same sex, they're rejected because of that. I hate it, me being a second-survivor to all of the shit one guy can get because he's a homosexual. Makes me sick.
Sorry, had to rant.

I understand Ally. One of my friends is a lesbian and all these people were like, "Why are you hanging out with that dyke?" and then her brother, who is one of my best friends and may or may not be gay, is loved by all, but I still hear people saying things like "It's impossible to be that flambuoyant and not be gay" or "He acts like a total fag"
and I live near San Francisco, gay pride nation....*sighs*

I CAN say it, but I DON'T say it.....and then I beat myself up for listening to music in which they say it...and then I forgive Green Day because they're Green Day, which just makes me feel bad because I let them say it simply because I like them...it's a never-ending cycle
I actually wrote a paper this year on the word faggot...it's really sad what it came from

yeah...one guy called me out on that because earlier in the school year I lectured him for like 20 minutes because he said fag
And, well, a faggot was originally the name of a young boy servant, so my teacher talked about it and figured that what probably happened was that then the older male masters would force the boys to have sex with them, and would blame the poor boys for "making the men want them." So then, the word faggot turned into an insult because they were the boys who made their master's lose control.... A faggot nowadays can also be a bundle of sticks...not sure how that ties in.... But, as you might know, in England, a "fag" is slang for a cigarette, and that came from during the times of witchburning. In towns, there was a place, called the faggot, where witches, gays, blacks, etc. were burned, and eventually people started calling the people who were burned "faggots." So "smoking a fag" is basically saying "burning the gays" .....
short etymology lesson for the day
