you know...when american idiot first came out...i loved bobd and wmuwse used to be so emotional to me and i loved it and i remember one week, when i was still in middle school, so i didnt have midterms but the high school did so by lunch the trailers where me and my friend danielle liked to eat lunch would be empty. and would go in there and we were all alone and we would blast american idiot...and one day we were both just sitting there, our eyes closed and we were singing along to wmuwse and it was just this great emotional moment. and then me and my other friend naomi would listen to it right before hebrew class started...i dunno it was really great. why the fuck do they always overplay the really good songs?! it completely fucks everything up. the only overplayed song that is still awesome is good riddance. ahh fuck the stupid box of comformity known as the radio

I was just watching the rock count down of 2005 (green day had holiday, september and boulevard) and when they were about to say the number one song...

so anyway im watching the stupid video (yes im saying its stupid. "i walking this empty street...im all alone..." well to have that effect maybe tre and mike shouldnt have been right next to billie *rolls eyes*) and yeah i remembered when i used to go online to watch the video...before mtv woke up one day and said "hey, good morning america! today we've decided to completely mutilate a really great song. so radios, help us out. we're going to make the posers love it, and the fans hate it"...i remember me and naomi found out they had a new video and we were watching it on the internet! so maybe bobd didnt start out bad..it was actually a pretty great song. what the fuck happened?

I have NO idea. The simplest thing to do is not listen to the radio. If Green Day - no, WHEN Green Day come out with another album, and they play some of the songs on the radio, it's fine to listen to it a few times, but then if it comes on again, change the station. Even though you're like, "I love this song!" change it anyway. Even though you wanna hear it, it's the only way to not get sick of it. That's my theory on how to listen to the radio.

i liked it before, but it just seemed it was EVERYWHERE.... and all my classmates where singing it every day! the same goes for WMUWSE.... so i think they just bored me =\.... and I totally love American Idiot... coz when it came out, i hated both TV and radio, so i didn't hear it so much lol

I loved BOBD from the beginning, and I still do. Yeah, it's overplayed, but I do what Ally says, change the station.

i didn't hear bobd from the radio cam (my 'old' friend) bought the cd and let me listen to it and bobd was my favorite songs until mtv started playing it and crap and the radio cutting off the ending.

I seriously can't listen to Boulevard Of Broken Dreams without thinking: I wonder if all those people out there who know nothing about Green Day and think they are some brand new pop band know how much meaning these lyrics have?

It's so weird. I get the same with Wake me up when September ends too. It's a really bad feeling.
