It's a bunch of poems about a village called Spoon River. (The village isn't real, but the river is.) He took a real people from a village and how they died. Then he put fake names on them and wrote poems in their points of view. So it's like people telling the stories of how they died from beyond the grave.

I'll probably check this out some year......I tend to want to read a book and then I get so distracted that I read 500 other books before I read it, and then I realize that I had wanted to read some book a few years earlier

^haha. why are you proud of yourself? cause I finished this book that I have a very hard time finishing. and because I haven't finished it in forever, the ending was new to me.. so it was like getting a whole new story! only I already knew it was good.
